    The 2008 tournament once again was a sell-out, netting more than $400,000 – bringing the total to more than $1.6 Million net in five years, to benefit Think Detroit PAL.

    Tournament organizers are happy to announce that the Fifth Anniversary Paul W. Smith Golf Classic benefitting Think Detroit PAL was a huge success. Thanks to the overwhelming support from the local business community, the 2008 golf classic netted $400,000 - bringing the total net funds raised to date to $1.6 million in five years. The 2009 Paul W. Smith Golf Classic will be held Monday, August 17 at the Detroit Golf Club.

    To Raise Funds for Nearly 13,000 Detroit Youngsters

    The fifth annual Paul W. Smith Golf Classic, one of the top fundraisers for Think Detroit PAL, is scheduled for Monday, August 18, at the Detroit Golf Club. Over the past four years the tournament has netted $1.2 million to benefit Detroit’s youth. Sponsorships are still available until June 26 and range from $2,500 to $20,000. Sponsorships of $5,000 and more include playing spots. Think Detroit PAL was formed by the merger of Think Detroit, Inc.
