We thank you for continuing your support of the Paul W. Smith Golf Classic, benefitting Detroit children through our nonprofit partners for two decades. We are full swing ahead for our 20th annual event on Sept. 18 and this is our first visit to Indianwood Golf and Country Club. More importantly 55,000 Detroit area youth are served by Detroit Police Athletic League, The Children’s Center, The Children’s Foundation and Variety of Detroit and these kids will benefit as they mature and grow, socially, mentally and physically.
Tournament Guidelines
The tournament committee reserves the right to limit the number of years a team is allowed to win the Paul W. Smith Golf Classic to a total of two consecutive years.
Indianwood Golf and Country Club Dress Code
No denim of any type or color. No joggers, jeans, cargo shorts or spandex. No tank tops, T-shirts or flip flops. No tennis attire, yoga pants or warm-ups on the golf course. No changing clothes or shoes in the parking lots. No hats in the clubhouse (men only). All hats worn bill forward. Men’s shirts must have collars and sleeves. All shirts must be tucked in. All shorts must be accepted golf attire, no swim trunks or bathing shorts are allowed. Bermuda length shorts only. No long, baggy shorts. All shoes must be proper golf shoes for golf activities, no baseball cleats, no cowboy boots or any dress shoes with heels are allowed on the golf course proper, ladies high heels or dress shoes with heels are not allowed on the golf course. These shoes are allowed in the clubhouse. Women’s tops without sleeves must have a collar. No tube or halter tops. All skirts must be knee length.
Indianwood Golf & Country Club Smoking Policy
As a courtesy reminder, the entire Indianwoods Golf and Country Club clubhouse, as well as external dining and service areas of the club comply with the state of Michigan nonsmoking policy. Indianwoods has established a dedicated area within appropriate distance from the great hall and service areas where smoking is allowed. This patio has smoking receptacles and signage clearly marking the permitted smoking area.
